My niece has homework I can't answer. lol

1)Why does -f(x) reflect the graph of f(x) across the x-axis?
2)Why does f(-x) reflect the graph of f(x) across the y?
3)For linear functions, f(x) = x, is a vertical translation the same as a horizontal?
