Once upon a time, two kingdoms align Happiness and contentedness Were the order of the Day Equal parts were work, sleep and play
But on one dark and gloomy afternoon Storm clouds broke and uncivil war ensued Anger, sadness, bitter and dark Equal parts shame and equal parts blame
You are lazy/ you are trivial Words of anger, pain inside, cannot be taken back You are fat/ you are plain Foul moods, lives ruined, homes wrecked
Crude rumors, war clouds rise All a bother, such a shame, potential gone Broken walls, painful cries Hands once intertwined now go alone
Does the day hate the night? Does the eagle hate the catch? Does power make right? Does the door dread the latch?
Far beyond the dream of two kingdoms torn asunder Those who live under, cry for the break Try they plead for our sake? But underfoot, undermine, no one pays heed the sign
The answer is simple but both are too proud It would take but a whisper, not even so loud Put aside this trifle, this petty squabble Unity together only can we cobble
Two kingdoms again together can stand But it will take a little bend for this to mend Just one act of selflessness can Cause this conflagration to be at an end

Poetry is not a big thing for me. It is good work though.

lol. A very rare thing for me. Last time I wrote a 60-page story around a poem called "These Worlds of Ours" but it was lost long ago.
