The Audi ad aired during the superbowl certainly brings up some ideas for a dark future type of story.
BTW- I cannot believe the leftists are now attacking patriotic Americans using Captain America comic books. Why does literally everything have to be political? I swear they'd turn this country into North Korea and Cuba if they had a chance.

It is result of the leftists having enough control of the media to use entertainment to brainwash everyone. Hollywood is best known but they have comic books too (there was an infamous case of a Spiderman comic being used to endorse Obama) as well as most of non-sci-fi literature (sci-fi literature is still the domain of libertarian types).

If you go through with this dark future story, you could have the government make up its own super-hero to use for propaganda purposes and sponsor movies with anti-conservative/pro-libtard views and get kickbacks in return (I would not be surprised if that actually happens).

hhhmmmm, true
My other idea was a totally privately owned colony world, each colonist family having given up a fortune or at least a lot on Earth to move to the new planet. Each bringing their own tools and education and experience with them.
Each family started out owning a single share in the space port, Import-Export Bank etc etc which were all incorporated. Even the roads that had been pre-planned were built as a private venture with each owning a share.
These 3,000 families each had (checks Earths square milage of land... hhmm) 500 square miles minus the road, plus they each owned a couple of acres in the only two cities they all connect to. It was one continent, 4 million square miles that was (half) settled, the rest was reserved by agreement, to scientific exploration.
Once year a single member of each family acts as a Representative at the Global Trade Union where deals and agreements could be struck. The city its held in alternates each time. The main city is the one where most offworld ships land, its spaceport being bigger.
The story could be that the United Nations Alliance, reformed to include most of the colony worlds (ones controlled from Earth anyway) has decided that this particular world was a menace because it has no government at all. There was nobody to negotiate power sharing and cartel deals with. So they threaten to invade.

Of course it is fake. They just plan to be more subtle. Last time it was Thor bashing the Catholic Church or something.
