There is low cost latop made by Toshiba which really sounds like a good deal to me. Getting a big discount by being a University of Pheonix student could save me up to 20-25%. Thats just amazing. Apparently I would only save 7% at Dell.
I would want to add a GB of RAM and possibly a few other things but it still seems like a real good choice for a laptop. If I go for a desktop I might find a slightly used one pretty cheap.
I'd need it to be small(ish) like some of those Dell ones.

25% off sounds pretty good. What are its specs (processor type and speed, amount of RAM etc)?

The thing is, I don't want to spend much. I went to the Toshiba website through the U of P portal for students to save.
The cheapest laptop says
Starting at: $545.00 25% Off: -$137.00 Your Price: $408.00
But I want more RAM (at least an extra GB) Now the Beneplace price is
Beneplace Price: $441.75 with the extra RAM
pretty cool!

Not bad, especially the one sold by Wal-Mart.

3 GB is something. That will let me play with some quality games.

I am thinking Sim City 4 but am also still looking for other possible games, maybe just one anyways. Probably Flight Simulator or something.

I have never played that many games, but if you need some suggestions:
Deus Ex is a bit old but very fun. It takes place in a near future near apocalypse where you must prevent conspiring governments from achieving world domination.
Operation Flashpoint and Armed Assault are squad based games where you play American soldiers fighting commies.
Homeworld is a hard sci-fi strategy game where you can command a space navy.

Sim Mars looks like it was abandoned in 2005

Yes I noticed the update dates on that site. I might have to get SimCity4 and try the beta though.
